These are the things affecting my life at the moment. (# of exclamations relates significance)
Work has been pretty good lately, I’ve been producing pilot segments that seem to be garnering a little bit of attention around the office. In addition I’ve taken part in some volunteer work through my job that has also proved to be rewarding!!
I’ve teamed up with three co-workers to compete in a competition that requires us to produce a video that fits the theme “Dream Big”. We’re almost finished and its coming together nicely; I think we may actually have a shot at winning the 28K. Fingers Crossed!!
I’m currently in the editing stages of a music video that I’m directing. We filmed earlier this month and since I’ve completed the first draft but tons more needs to be done before the July delivery date. I’m a tad stressed over this one!!!
This weekend I’ll be heading up to New York for Rafi’s birthday party and to film more videos for I’m From Driftwood. I like going to nyc, I like birthday parties, and I like filming things, so this should be a fun weekend!
Booked Booked Booked! As you can probably see from above, I’ve got a full platter on my table. In addition I have commitments every weekend through the 4th of July weekend. I’m finally living up to the Diligent.me ethos!!!!
Here’s the second video from I’m From Driftwood. If you’re gay I encourage you to write a story for the site as I believe every story is worthy of telling. My friend Nathan created the site for those…
that are others struggling to come out and deal with their sexuality, it says “you are not alone.” Other people have dealt with similar situations, families, communities and churches, and have overcome and are now living happy lives. It can happen for you, too. It gets soooo much better, I promise. Hang in there, kiddo.

1:12 PMdiligent - So the site is back up thankfully. I’m assuming it was an error with my hosting provider b/c I did nothing to rectify the errors. Last night ended in a bit of drama but things are ok now. Today we’re off to the Art Institute of Chicago, They’re unvieling the new modern wing. Then we’ll hang in Millennium Park.

9:00 PMdiligent - Met up with Giang and his new friend Tim in the north and hung out at
the beach for a while. We’re going to get all swanky for Sean’s B-Day
party. Should be fun.
2:54 PM- Last night we (Sean, Giang, and I) ended up at a modern Asian fusion place
called PingPon on N. Broadway. Pretty decent… I had the asparagus with
chicken. I’m still waiting for my urine to stench of it, I’m confident
that’s a myth though. After dinner we headed to a club called Berlin where
it was supposed to be Lady Sovereign’s after party… however I don’t think
they ever showed. We’re finally getting around to moving now… It’s supposed to rain all day
so I presume we’ll be looking to do indoor activities.
3:39 PMdiligent - Rain rain rain… Sean is not enthused, nor am I.

11:12 PMdiligent - I’m sad because I ‘m trying to enjoy myself on my little vacation and then my website goes down… I think someone might have hacked it, but it looks like my new site is down too (same hosting provider).
1:05 PM So I’m in Chicago for the rest of the week on a bit if R&R. I was supposed to get in last night but was severely delayed because of weather and “mechanical” problems that caused us to sit on the plane at the gate for over 2 hours. Add to that, waiting on the tarmac for another hour or so, having our route diverted, and having a super bumpy landing in fog/rain early in the AM… Not a pleasant experience! Oh well, I’m here now. Let the festivities begin!

8:12 PMdiligent - Nap time, then dinner, and then a night on the town.
My friend Nathan launched an awesome website called I’m From Driftwood where gay people share true stories about their life experiences. Since launching a month or so ago, he’s already amassed nearly 100 stories that range from laugh out loud funny, to emotionally touching. I was honored when he asked me to help him create original videos for the site. Below is our first crack at it… There will be more!
There are points in time when the tempo of the song, it’s tone, and it’s intensity, is perfectly in sync with… life. There are times when the melody takes control of you, your thoughts, your body, your emotions and and it spins you round and round till your dizzy like sun stroke. There are times when the pound of the bass is matched with the pound of your heart and multiplied by the stomp of dancing feet. You sway to the rhythm as the lyrics are echoed by the masses. Remember these times, always keep them with you!
