- 1:05 PM So I’m in Chicago for the rest of the week on a bit if R&R. I was supposed to get in last night but was severely delayed because of weather and “mechanical” problems that caused us to sit on the plane at the gate for over 2 hours. Add to that, waiting on the tarmac for another hour or so, having our route diverted, and having a super bumpy landing in fog/rain early in the AM… Not a pleasant experience! Oh well, I’m here now. Let the festivities begin!
