Watch! Housse de Racket - Synthétiseur

Housse de Racket, Housse de Racket, Housse de Racket

I have no idea what they’re saying… but its catchy! Something tells me its about synthesizers, that or a grand epic fantasy. The video is pure epic bliss too! A bit absurd? Sure, But it’s FUN! Obviously they’re not taking it too seriously, nor should you!

The video is directed by Frank Seiler and Arnaud Delord of 2425.

Watch! Le Corps Mince de Françoise - Something Golden

So the LCMDF trio is from Helsinki, Finland and I’m really digging their latest track. AND the video! They’ve already been labeled the female MGMT which I assume is due to the similarities of their names and possibly similarities in their video’s visual styling. I don’t really see any other parallels.

Something Golden drops December 7th on Kitsuné.

Matt Amato from The Masses directed the video.

Mood Music: Fireflies

‘Important Work’ 10.23.2009 4:36pm

Sometimes “i’d like to make myself believe that planet earth turns slowly” but truth is, time flies unbelievably fast! But it seems like 2003 was yesterday and The Postal Service was the soundtrack of our lives. Then there are day’s like this… they’re never ending. Oh well, such is life. I’ll just sit here at this cold desk and reminisce of the good days, passing the time until I can scream…. “The Weekend Has Landed!”

Watch! I’m From Driftwood - Ronnie Kroell

If you weren’t aware, I do the video stories for the I’m From Driftwood website. The latest video story, shown above, is Ronnie Kroell of Bravo’s ‘Make Me a Supermodel’ fame. Not only is Ronnie a hottie with an awesome grandma, he’s super nice and knows the best brunch spots in the city too! I do enjoy bottomless mimosas…

Be sure to check out the rest of the I’m From Driftwood video stories and while you’re there, why don’t you submit a story?

What Do We Demand? When Do Demand It?

This past weekend I took the opportunity to attend the National Equality March In DC. It was a personally moving and inspiring experience that I will always hold with me. It was a sight to see! So many young people, all confident, all resolute in their cause, and all certain of their impact. For those that questioned if it would be worth it, question no more… It was! Most of those whom attended will attest to this as they witnessed a whole generation rising to the occasion; ready and willing to fight for what is right!

In the past I’ve felt that too many individuals within the LGBT community have treated Rights as privileges. They are not! Rights are NEVER to be asked for and NEVER to be negotiated! The act of asking only certifies authority to those who seek to be ‘granters’ or ‘deniers’. Rights are NOT privileges and they must ALWAYS be unapologetically DEMANDED! Not next year, Not next month, Not tomorrow, But NOW!

It’s for this reason why many, including myself, will not support the idea of seeking rights through popular vote ballot initiatives. Rights are meant to protect the minority against oppression from the majority, thus it’s a ridiculous notion to allow the majority to deem when oppression should begin and end. I hope that you’ll reject such notions too. The issue of rights and equality for the LGBT community is of importance to all Americans, of all genders, of all races, and of all religions; because the disenfranchisement of one group’s rights today signals the disenfranchisement of another’s tomorrow!
