I saw this film from Uruguay last night at Philadelphia’s Q-Fest… It started out strong but then fizzled. At nearly the halfway point my friend Josh whispered “can someone hit fast forward please?” I would have if I would have had a remote control.
From IMDB:
Leo, a young man coming to terms with his own sexuality, runs into Caro, a primary school friend he fancied when they were kids, who’s now trying to ward off her own personal demons. This casual re-encounter will affect their personal conflicts without either truly grasping the other’s problem.
I’m not really into horror flicks, I don’t like the idea of paying to have the shit scared out of me. That said, this one is looking like a must-see for me! Who wants go with me and watch me scream like a little school girl? We’ll make it a date too! I’ll be an easy lay since I wont want to sleep alone after watching this film.
Remember how the govt. gave billions and billions of the tax-payer’s money to “Wall Street”? Well Michael Moore decided to make a film about it. It already looks like it’s going to anger the masses… and I hope it does.
The music video that I directed, On The Run by Aiden James, is set to Premiere this weekend at Philadelphia’s QFest. It’s screening along side a bunch of shorts by other Philly filmmakers this Sunday, July 12, 2:00PM at The Ritz East Theater. If anyone is interested in attending you can purchase tickets and read up on all the short films at the QFest Website. You can audition the song below.
Ahhh 2008, what a year you were! While we shared quite a few good times together; in retrospect… I’m seeing that you were one fucked up cookie. I’ve personally observed you inspire and give hope to the masses in one breath and then turn to destroy and crush it in the next. For better or worse, there is one thing for certain, 2008 You Will Definitely Be Remembered!
That said, It’s time to move on, but first here’s my annual retrospective.
Music:
I don’t care what anyone says, i don’t care what the sales figures show, or what concert attendances indicate; 2008 was a good year for music! 2007 got us dancing again, so it makes sense that 2008 was the year of the DJ. And boy are there a lot of them! I think I know of more active DJs than of actual bands and artists. I mean seriously, for a white it seemed like there were 3-4 remixes for every song that came out. But guess what? I didn’t complain; I loved every second of it!
