All’s I can say is… “I feel you man!” The one thing i’m struggling with understanding is why kele had to go solo to do this because this definitely feels like Bloc Party; maybe I’ll “get it” after i give his new album a listen. Anyhow, I’m loving the video… it’s just beautiful, so simple yet it captures the emotion of the song so well! Rumor has it that it was Directed by Taylor Cohen of Matt & Kim - Lessons Learned fame. If someone can confirm… that would be spiffy.
A buddy of mine said that we’ll hear this track 1000 times this summer… if true, this summer is looking up! I’m digging the video too!

So I first discovered The Drums last summer and they made quite the impression on me. Well now… I must say, I’m digging the new tracks too! They just have a way of capturing the summer spirit in their music. Their full-length album The Drums just dropped today and it’s already a contender for my album of the year accolade.
I’m also digging their latest music video and its quirky, nostalgic fun. If anyone knows who produced/directed this please send me a shout.

Well then, I guess it’s officially Summer now and this song is destined to be one of it’s anthems. Directed by the one and only Joseph Kahn (HSI Productions), the video captures the spirit of summer perfectly! Provocative, Sexy, and Carefree… now that’s what I’m talking about!
So here’s a fun one for you from Powerlifter of Wichita Kansas… Now I can’t say that i was ever big into glitch, 8bit, or whatever the kids are calling it these days…other than Crystal Castles if you count that. But, I’m digging this track. I often find that a good music video can grab someone and get them to pay closer attention to what they’re listening to. I likely wouldn’t have given this track 30 seconds if it weren’t for the visual accompaniment. Shot on two Canon 7Ds, this video is well executed… crisp and the cuts are on point! There’s even a bit of homo-eroticism going on in there. Kudos to director Kevin Wildt on this one.

Holy Fucking Shit… Romain Gavras! Pardon the expletives but I don’t know what else to say that could adequately express my sentiments at the moment. This is the same dude that did Justice’s amazing ‘Stress’ music video. This video trumps that one in intensity, which is very much an accomplishment. I’m actually in quite the anxious state at the moment from just watching this.
