Watch! Wolf Gang - Back to Back (Acoustic)

So, I know I’m late with this month’s mixtape y’all, but I’m trying!  I’m really really trying!  And it doesn’t help that I’m stumbling across a bunch of pretty tracks that would never end-up on a Diligent Dance Mixtape…  Case and point,  ‘Back to Back’ by Wolf Gang.

I hope you’ll have some understanding for my predicament. I promise there will be an April mixtape!

Watch! Peaches - Mommy Complex

This one is a bit suggestive… but what else would you expect from Peaches? I think I can get down with it.

Watch! Philly Snow

So I went out in the snow on Sunday and shot more footage on the 7d. I’m really liking the camera though there are some nuances that I’m learning about that complicate some things. I’ll get there… Enjoy.

Watch! These New Puritans - We Want War

“We Want War” by These New Puritans.
Directed by Daniel Askilll (Radical Media)
Released on Angular Records / Domino Records

I can’t put how I feel about this video into words… Most of the time I love to learn about the technical aspects of a production, but sometimes it’s better to leave the magic curtain intact. I really do enjoy the direction of this video, the slow motion, the human ballistics, the water explosions, the city scape in the distance… quite an interpretation of what might just be an epic war scene.

I think i’m the only person this side of the pond who actually likes this band tho… and that’s a shame. I naively proclaimed them the Breakout Band of 2008… ha, boy was I wrong! Their debut album ‘Beat Pyramid‘ was damn good too! I just don’t get it… people need to get their heads out of their arses and jump on board the TNP train. You’ll get your chance rather soon as they’re set to release their sophomore effort ‘Hidden‘ on January 18th, 2010. I’ll of course ensure that everyone knows that I ‘d been listening to them way before they blew up. Such is life!

Watch! Phoenix Un Concert A Emporter

Two Phoenix postings in just under two days…   If you couldn’t tell, I likes me some Phoenix. I also likes me some La Blogotheque and their Take Away Shows.  The guys from Phoenix perform “Lisztomania” and “One Time Too Many” in the clip.  “1901? and “Long Distance Call” are also available via La Blogotheque.
